In Education, GRUMA has worked actively in modernizing, maintaining and equipping schools. Through the program “Young People in Action”, hundreds of scholarships have been granted to children and young people, to assure they stay in school, from elementary to higher education. Which also offers teacher support, makes youth gatherings, and sports sponsorships, among other activities

It also instituted the "Don Roberto M. Gonzalez and Barbarita B. De Gonzalez" Merit Medal, which is awarded to the most outstanding students at different levels in the Municipal schools and cash awards are given to recognize their efforts and encourage improvement. It has also motivated the teachers to overcome the serious problem of absenteeism by compensation equivalent to 30% of their salary.

There is also a sports development program to encourage children and young people to participate in the following activities: baseball, athletics, swimming and karate.
